Project Africa
We’re a student organization at USC and we fight extreme poverty in Africa. We travel to Africa each summer to promote health and sustainable development in rural villages. This summer, we’re bringing 30 students with us for 3 weeks
Last summer, we traveled to Africa for three weeks to carry out the group’s first trip in the Oyam District of rural northern Uganda. We partnered with the Global Health Network (Uganda) to teach maternal health and hygiene, test for infectious diseases, and research the effectiveness of newly-constructed latrines in the community.
Project Africa is a student organization at the University of Southern California. Our purpose is to fight extreme poverty through holistic development and commitment to specific communities. Instead of short-term projects in many different locations, we want to address ALL aspects of poverty in a single village and spread out from there.
